I stole my own idea...

In Spring 2007, I bought an insane amount of April Cornell fabric.  It was a line of Moda fabric called the Sonnet Collections, and I kid you not, I must have bought at least two to three yards each of the ENTIRE collection.
From the blog: cinderberrystitches.typepad.com
And of course, I started cutting some half-square triangles, and then stuck them away for a REALLY long time. I refused to get rid of any of the fabric that I had bought to go with it, and this mess of April Cornell followed me around three different moves, in two different cities. Finally!, as of last week, I can say it's finished.  Note the teeny tiny size! 30" x 30".

All the yards and yards of fabric I kept?  All donated to a good home! :) On Etsy for sale... here.

So...this pattern was inspiration for my B for Bicycle Quilt!  It's a little bit bigger than the above one...about 38" x 38" It too is for sale...here!  Pattern soon available. B is also for Button and Boat!

Voila!

26 Quilts in 52 Weeks - The Alphabet Quilt Project

THE CHALLENGE:
26 Quilts in 52 Weeks
To make and design a quilt every two weeks,
based on the alphabet.

THE REWARD:
26 quilts in alphabetical order:
The Alphabet Quilt Project

So, this is a challenge to myself. One crazy year of quilt design and quilt making, all based on fun appliques in alphabetical order. Do I think I'm crazy? Yes! But, it's also very motivational.

First up?

Quilt Measures 44" x 44"

Fun Apple Applique!

Pattern coming very soon! But right now, the quilt is for sale on The Etsy Shop.

Don't like apples? That's okay! A is also for Atom and Airplane.  Each pattern will come with 3 different appliques, so you can customize your own quilt.

Quilt #1 Finished...but still working on the pattern.

Have an idea of what B should be... Just fill in the Blank:
B is for _______.
(Bicycle, Bee, Bear?)
