-In early March, broke my hand. :( Needed surgery. :( :( Couldn't sew. :( :( :(
(This is why the summing up needs to be quick!)
Still not back to 100%, but have hope for the very near future!
The night after surgery! :(
-So! Broken-hand Michie Lee needs something to do! GREAT IDEA! Join theatre company! Anam Cara Theatre to be exact. Big Love was the play. Awesome. Met LOTS of amazing people. Has sucked all my free-time away from me. But! Kept me distracted from not being able to sew!
Short post! But hand needs some more time before typing up the big blogs!
In Spring 2007, I bought an insane amount of April Cornell fabric. It was a line of Moda fabric called the Sonnet Collections, and I kid you not, I must have bought at least two to three yards each of the ENTIRE collection.
And of course, I started cutting some half-square triangles, and then stuck them away for a REALLY long time. I refused to get rid of any of the fabric that I had bought to go with it, and this mess of April Cornell followed me around three different moves, in two different cities. Finally!, as of last week, I can say it's finished. Note the teeny tiny size! 30" x 30".
All the yards and yards of fabric I kept? All donated to a good home! :) On Etsy for sale... here.
So...this pattern was inspiration for my B for Bicycle Quilt! It's a little bit bigger than the above one...about 38" x 38" It too is for sale...here! Pattern soon available. B is also for Button and Boat!
This week's Geek of the Week is a day late...but that's okay! Lately, we've been working on the house, trying to make it more homey and have more things around that make us smile. That's why I picked Etsy seller KnobCreekMetalArts this week. I can totally see these on our bookshelves in the living room!
